We need to be successful! we need to place! the bic needs results if we ever want more support
Notes:
Advice from stamper:
Know the rules of your comp! (same advance from louis)
Practice!
trade off adding a new feature vs. 2 more weeks of practice. take the practice!
Test early, test often
Winning teams = more money!?

Campus Groups and Purchasing with Kristen Merchant
Kristen merchant
oversees all student orgs
available for questions
lots of travel stuff

We should be putting our meetings on campus groups
Campus groups can collect money if we want to get money for something
talk to kristen to make sure our business office account is tied to it
The sga accounting budget is in there
p-card, invoice, student reimburse
otfr request is there
can flag and sort members
add subteams
email only a subteam
Member tags
officers have to add and can see
subgroup
anyone can join a subgroup and can see
Events, files, emails can be made for subgroups
Each year in the spring an org will reregister
complete officer training
update officers
Note on officers:
we can make custom officer position types
choose officer as the main type and then add a second one
Being an officer will allow you to book thing on EMS
If we have a different advisor traveling with us, go ahead and add them to campus groups
make them as “travel advisor” or something similar for a role
don’t put them as the “advisor” role
if we use campus groups or teams then the school can get us access
campus groups has training courses, checklist, badges, etc
can be assigned to subgroups
Can view how many people have viewed or opened an email
how many an unsubsribed
Can change under notification settings what you get email notifications for
i.e new members
travel
use the travel template for an event
the date is the time you leave campus to the time you get back to campus
for club travel, you have to be a group member
can set costs for the travel
maybe use this to pay for launch fees??
members who are launch their own rocket pay $10. the club will bring cash
fill out travel as soon as you can, especially for high risk
travel approvals can take time
if you still have details, just write that in there to get the process working on
What the process on kristen side:
kristen is looking for that your advisor knows you are traveling
then risk mang. is looking for that you aren’t traveling at midnight or 24hr straight, etc
they are looking for who is driving
and that those people have the background check to drive
the risk mang part normally takes the longest time
Then it goes to tom and lee. they do a last check
If you are not an approved driver and something happens, its on you!
we need to watch this more!
rose insurance and not our insurance
If you have an advisor with you then we can use the rose fleet vehicles (less than 100 miles)
Rose does have a 15 passenger van
only within 100 miles
our typical launches to pence/tab indiana are less than 100 miles
and we have the pay the driver
We can use the rose fleet vehicles. but we need an advisor to drive them
Enterprise has to be 21 years old to drive
in our case of caravaning cars (with students driving own cars and being approved driving)
the students are liable for all damages on their insurance
talk to tom and lee about getting extra faculty people
We can talk to tom and lee and we can try to work out exceptions to make things work out
they’ve worked with teams before
The RA and SA mailboxes are in student affairs down stairs
we can put flyers in those and they get sent to halls
